The Aristotelian Society's ability to host and publish high-quality talks in philosophy depends on its thriving membership. Memberships with the Aristotelian Society are divided into five catgories. The first two categories of memberships do not include the Society's publications whilst the latter three include either the Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society or the Supplementary Volume or both.

category 1 - general membership

  • Support the activities of the Aristotelian Society with a general membership (Category 1).
  • General membership with the Society entitles you to attend the Joint Session.
  • General memberships are valid for a full academic year.
  • UK-based members can Gift Aid their subscription. This provides an opportunity for subscribers to increase the value of their subscriptions at no additional costs to themselves. Please view the Gift Aid form for further information.


category 2 - lifetime membership

  • Support the activities of the Aristotelian Society with a lifetime membership (Category 2).
  • Lifetime membership with the Society entitles you to attend the Joint Session every year.
  • Lifetime members are always be kept up-to-date with the Society’s events and publications.
  • UK-based members can Gift Aid their subscription. This provides an opportunity for subscribers to increase the value of their subscriptions at no additional costs to themselves. Please view the Gift Aid form for further information.


category 3 - subscribing membership:
the proceedings

  • A subscribing membership to The Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society (Category 3) includes the latest hardcover volume as well as online access to the Proceedings archive from 2000 to the present.
  • The hardcover volume is printed in black on an 80gsm white book wove stock accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Binding is in dark blue Arbelave Library Buckram over 2500 micron boards blocked in gold on the spine. This makes for a strong, attractive and durable book with a scuff resistant and wipeable cover.
  • A subscribing membership with the Society entitles you to attend the Joint Session.
  • A subscribing membership is valid for a full academic year.
