The Society will reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 you gave up to 5 April 2008, and 25p of tax on every £1 you give on or after 6 April 2008. The Government will pay to the Society an additional 3p on every £1 you give between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011. This may not seem like a great amount, but if eligible subscribers Gift Aid their subscription, it could make a significant difference to our income and enable us to keep subscription prices low for longer. (Note: this transitional relief for the Society does not affect your personal tax position.)
However, in order to Gift Aid your subscription you need to be a UK taxpayer and pay at least as much in income or capital gains tax as the amount we will claim in the tax year on your subscription.
