Guy Longworth (Warwick)
The Editor of the Aristotelian Society

about

Guy Longworth

Guy Longworth’s research interests cluster around communication, especially as it involves the transmission of knowledge. They include the nature of the sort of understanding of what people say that might support knowledge transmission, the ways in which what people say can be shaped by the circumstances in which they say it, the communicability of mathematical and first-personal knowledge, and the nature and role of trust in the communication of knowledge. Connectedly, he has a keen amateur’s interest in the history of philosophy, including the works of Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Frege, and J. L. Austin.

Guy became the Editor of the Aristotelian Society in 2016. His responsibilities include the selection and editing of the papers in the Proceedings and Supplementary Volume.
