Sarah Fine is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. She is also a Fellow at the Forum for Philosophy. She co-edited (with Lea Ypi) Migration in Political Theory: The Ethics of Movement and Membership (Oxford University Press, 2016). Her research to date has focused on the ethics of migration, and particularly the question of whether states have a moral right to exclude non-citizens. In recent years, she also has been thinking a lot about methodology in political philosophy, and about work at the intersection of philosophy and the arts. She enjoys collaborating with artists and cultural institutions. Current arts projects include a play about immigration restrictions with theatre company ice&fire, and dance pieces about maps, borders, and the climate crisis with choreographer Sivan Rubinstein.
