Jennifer Hornsby has been Professor of Philosophy at Birkbeck, University of London since 1995, and has been Co-Director of the Rational Agency section of the Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature since its inception in 2007. She is an Emeritus Fellow of Corpus Christi College where she was a Tutorial Fellow from 1978 until 1994. She is a Fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. She has published work in philosophy of mind and action, philosophy of language, and on questions about free speech as they relate, among other things, to pornography.
Jennifer Hornsby was president of the Aristotelian Society from 1996 to 1997.

Gila Sher is a professor of philosophy at the University of California, San Diego.
